Experienced Advocate to Software Engineer

Being a front-line community worker is really tough. The kind of tough that feeds my soul and fulfills my passion to be the change I want to see in this world. But after 15 years of providing advocacy, system navigation, crisis intervention, training, resource develpment and so much more, I needed a change. So, I took the plunge and learned how to code. It has been an incredible journey! It's been amazing to apply so much of the knowledge and skills I built in social servies and health care into the world of software engineering. I just love solving problems and really thrive in the spaces where critical analysis and creative implementation intersect.

But even with all this change, some things remain the same. I'm still a community activist, writer, filmmaker, outdoor adventurer and all round engaged human who is looking to apply my skills in areas I am genuinely invested in, to benefit people while continuing to learn and challenge myself.
